This pack is a compilation of the 2004 title Hot Wheels: Stunt Track Challenge and the 2003 title Hot Wheels: World Race. In theory the two for one setup bolsters the value of the cart, but unfortunately this isn't a compelling deal because neither game is very good.

Stunt Track Challenge is marginally the better of the two games included. You'll drive various models of Hot Wheels as you participate in races and stunt challenges, in the pursuit of unlocking more cars and tracks. These unlockables would be a nice incentive except both games feature a huge flaw, the lack of a battery save. Having to keep track of passwords just doesn't make a lot of sense for a portable game.

Stunt Track Challenge in particular suffers from erratic collision detection, often just coming close to a wall or another car causes the game to think you've collided with it. An even bigger problem in both games is the complete absence of physics. Performing tricks is simply a matter of going over a ramp and pressing one of the direction buttons which causes your car to automatically flip like a gymnast regardless of your actual orientation leaving the ramp. Tricking increases your boost meter making it essential for racing, but it still feels brain dead and tacked on.
Both games look dated. Stunt Track Challenge attempts to pull off 3D environments but bland textures really get in the way of its presentation. World Race on the other hand just looks flat and garish. The lack of any sense of speed is the final nail in the coffin for this pack.
These two games definitely feel like they're past their 'use by'? dates, but even by the standards of their day they aren't any good. If you're a fan of Hot Wheels you're really better off just buying a few toy cars then wasting your time with this.
